Working principle of the Thermostat housing

1.Engine coolant flows out from the cylinder head into the inner chamber of the thermostat housing.

2.The thermostat installed inside the housing opens or closes according to coolant temperature, controlling whether coolant flows through the small cycle or large cycle.

3.With its internal passages, the thermostat housing accurately directs coolant to the radiator or back to the engine directly, completing the cooling cycle.

4.It maintains a sealed system to prevent coolant leakage, and provides mounting positions for the water temperature sensor and hose connections.
